Many of my characters look similar to me or my friends. For years now I have been drawing beautiful people around me, mixing and matching their unique features.
I have a very upturned nose; not the ones people get surgery to have, but more upturned. I’ve been told I look like a pug, a pig… that kind of nose.
It’s another one of those things I had never had a problem with until people started pointing it out!
I remember when I was a teenager on the SAME DAY a random lady in the streets told me she loved my nose and a classmate made a comment about it looking “weird”.
It really had me thinking about how the way others perceived me affect my self perception.
Upturned snub noses are gorgeous, just like every other nose shape out there 🙂
